BOOK PREVIEW
Title: The Purpose of the Holy Spirit Baptism: A Secret Hidden in the Book of John Chapter 14 for Over Two Thousand Years

Why did Lord Jesus change the name from “the Promise of the Father” to “shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit”? (Acts 1:4-8)

Apparently, Lord Jesus reminded his disciples that they had heard him talked about “the Promise of the Father”. However, Lord Jesus had literally changed its name to “the Holy Spirit Baptism”.

Have anyone wonder what was the reason at all?

Have anyone wonder what did Lord Jesus actually tell his disciples concerning “the Promise of the Father”?

What do we need to do in order to retrace such passage from the Bible?

A physician’s approach

Obviously, a professional physician will collect all the necessary information through questioning and observation from his patient. From the list of symptoms, he will diagnose whether the patient is having a common flu or the new avian flu. In certain circumstances, the physician may need to send a sample to the lab in order to determine what is the actual virus causing the illness.

A professional approach in understanding the purpose of the Holy Spirit Baptism

Likewise, such professional approach should have been applied in the studying of the event of Holy Spirit Baptism.

We should have collected all the necessary information from the Book of Acts chapter two, determining “the characteristic of the Holy Spirit Baptism”. Then we may be able to retrace such passage if it does match such characteristic.

With the complete context, we may have the chance to comprehend the original purpose, why the Promise of the Father ----- the Holy Spirit Baptism, had to be delivered to the disciples in such one and only one way.

If you can’t tell what illness is it, how could you tell the symptoms are good for the patient?

It is a common sense that a patient will not accept the treatment and prescription from his physician if the physician did not care to find out all the symptoms and had determined what kind of illness the patient had.

Then, when the church did not scrutinize “the characteristic of the Holy Spirit Baptism” and understand what had Lord Jesus actually talked to his disciples concerning “the Promise of the Father”, but jump into a conclusion (giving you treatment/prescription). How could we believe the church? What kind of common sense is it?

In other word, if the physician did not find out what kind of illness you have contacted, but telling you that from the symptoms, the fever you had was good for you, the cough was beneficial, the running nose will clear up your lung, and the throat inflammation would help you to regenerate your body cells, would you willingly accept such explanation? The answer is “NO”!

Yet, Christians have accepted the explanation of the phenomena:

1)  It is to pour the Spirit of God unto the disciples?
2)  It is to enable the disciples the gift of speaking in unknown tongues?
3)  Or something related to the regeneration of Christians’ faith?

This new approach led to this new book

The author had retraced to a passage which fully matched the characteristic of the event of Holy Spirit Baptism!

I believe, you will be amazed as such simple fact was written in the Bible and yet it had been held as a secret for more than two thousand years.
